Billionaire Jimoh Ibrahim’s mother burns to death in fire accident


Jimoh Ibrahim’s mother, Omofemiwa Ramat Ibrahim, reportedly died in a fire incident which occurred in the early hours of today.

According to sources, billionaire Jimoh Ibrahim’s 76 years old mother, was at her house in the Victoria Garden City, Lagos, when a fire broke out around 2am. However before the firefighters from the Lagos State Fire Service arrived, she was already burnt to death.

Jimoh Ibrahim is a lawyer, politician, businessman, and philanthropist. He is the chairman and chief executive officer of Global Fleet Group, a diversified conglomerate based in Nigeria, with business interests and subsidiaries in neighboring West African countries.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, who confirmed the incident, said the remains of the deceased have been deposited in a morgue, adding that investigations were ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
