Lawyer slumps, die during court session

A lawyer has slumped and died during a court session at High Court I in Obingwa LGA of Abia State.

The lawyer identified as Obinna Onuoha died in the court room during cross examination.

The incident happened, yesterday, while he cross examining a witness. He was said to have hit his head against the floor and died before he could get medical help.

The Nation Nigeria correspondent gathered that Onuoha slumped while cross examining a witness in court.

According to sources, the incident caused pandemonium in court as people scampered for safety when the lawyer slumped.

Onuoha died in an undisclosed hospital where he was rushed to after the incident.

A source close to the family told our correspondent that the lawyer died of cardiac arrest.
