Davido explains why he has no collaboration with Wizkid yet

Nigerian pop singer Davido has finally spoken on why he has not recorded a song with ‘Starboy’ Wizkid.

The ’30BG’ crooner, who won big for his label at the 2018 Headies award, said a collaboration with Wizkid would not be planned but have to come naturally in order to have the best.

According to him, this would only happen when the time was right.

Davido revealed this on Soundcity Fm.

He said:

“On my collaboration with Wizkid, I feel like if it will happen, it will happen naturally. If we plan it, we might not do our best. Whenever the time is right, it will happen.”

Davido’s record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) is an all-male dominated label and when he was asked on why they have no female presence, he said:

“If there was a female, we will be too overprotective.”

The singer at the just concluded 12th edition of the Headies won three awards. And the night of glam and splendor at the Eko Convention Centre also saw the artiste carting home the biggest win of the night, which was the award for the artiste of the year. He was nominated alongside his friend and colleague in the insudtry, Wizkid.

Davido un-follows Tobi on Instagram

It all seems like the new friendship between Cee-C and Davido’s girlfriend, Chioma, has taken a toll on Big Brother Naija finalist, Tobi. A recent check on the singer’s profile indicates that he has just un-followed Tobi and followed Cee-C on Instagram.

This came as a surprise to many as Davido was one of the celebrities that rooted for Tobi to win the ultimnate prize while in the Big Brother Naija house.

The new week also saw the star singer being unveiled as an Infinix Phone Ambassador and his girlfriend Chioma also signed a deal with the Dunes House for her cooking show. the Chef Chi Show.
