Cardi B shows off baby bump as she attends Met Gala (photos)

Cardi B attended her very first Met Gala on Monday night. She and her baby bump set the red carpet on fire with her elaborately-bejeweled Moschino by Jeremy Scott ensemble.

Cardi B made a grand entrance alongside Moschino designer Jeremy Scott (in a matching getup!) wearing a jeweled crown with spindles, and a gown with a high collar, long-sleeves and gloves all covered in intricate beading inspired by tapestries and embroideries from ecclesiastic vestments.

She accentuated her baby bump in the form-fitting design and made a statement as she walked the steps with her ball gown skirt cascading behind her. More photos below:

The 25 year old rapper has had one insane year – Cardi B had a meteoric rise in the music industry after the success of “Bodak Yellow.” She got engaged to rapper Offset with an eight-carat ring. And she’s expecting her first child this summer.

And what better way to cap it all off than a walk down fashion’s biggest red carpet?

Nicki Minaj and Cardi B haven’t always had the easiest relationship. But at the Met Gala, things seemed to be all good between the two.

There had previously been tensions between Minaj and Cardi, who collaborated on Migos’s song “Motorsport.”

After the song came out, rumors started flying that there was drama between the two, who both rapped verses on the song. Nicki Minaj would later confess that she was hurt by Cardi’s reaction to the song.
